The Meaning of the Tattoo:The Tattoo was designed by Rose's Grandfather Kazuto Bushida who is also the Oyabun (Boss) of the Bushida clan, a powerful and respect clan in the Japanese underworld and Yakuza.The black dragon represents experience, wisdom and power, and the rose represents not only her name but also the love that not only her grandfather has for her but also the love of her parents.The red rose also represents her English heritage with the dragon representing her Japanese heritage.
Backstory
Early Life
Rose was born to Carson and Aiko in London, England, Carson was the owner of Matthius Industries, an international company that specialised in Medical and Security, it was through his company that he met Aiko Bushida, the daughter of Kazuto Bushida, the Oyaban of the Yakuza's Bushida clan, a powerful and respected clan in the Japanese Criminal Underworld. Carson had a son from a previous marriage named Marcelus, who lived with his mother who was divorced by Carson after finding out she was embezzling money from his Company.Sadly both her parents died when their car was attacked by the Chinese Triad, Aiko and Carson protected Rose and sacrificed their lives protecting her. After hearing of his estranged daughter's death Kazuto travelled to London to pay his respects and attend his daughter and son-in-law's funeral, he also adopted Rose and took her with him to live in Japan.
Life In Japan
Upon arriving in Toyoko, Kazuto decided it would be safest for Rose to be privately schooled until she reached high school age, and hired some of the best private tutors for her, and when she wasn't studying, she was instructed in various forms of martial arts by some of the top practitioners in Asia. She studied primarily Japanese martial arts such as Karate, Aikido, Iaido, Jodo, Judo, Jujutsu, Kendo, Kūdō, Kyūdō Shōrinji kempō, Sumo, and Taido along with traditional Boxing and her personal choice Jeet Kune Do (Which was due to her father's influence as he was a huge fan of Bruce Lee).Rose would go on to attend High School at Grade 6 till graduating in Grade 10, during her time she was an excellent and talented student but remained socially awkward around other students, however she was never bullied as during a confrontation with a rival school, she effortlessly took down the bullies that threatened her. This was because she had continued to learn various forms of martial arts and had moved on to Bugei Jūhappan, Bujutsu, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, under her Grandfather's strict guidance and tutelage.Upon graduating she was accepted to attend the University of Tokyo, however, her acceptance to the university was rescinded after she was arrested after getting into a fight with police officers after they found out who her mother and father were and started to degrade their characters, claiming that they were criminal trash and cowards. Due to being part of the Bushida family, a well known Yakuza family she was sentenced to three years in Tochigi prison after a very publicised trial.
Life In Prison
While she carried out her sentence in Tochigi prison, she was attacked numerous times by groups of inmates, with the prison guards turning a blind eye after it was leaked that she was part of a Yakuza family, she received numerous injuries and spent a substantial amount of time in the prison infirmary, as she refused to do more than defend her, as not to lengthen her stay in prison.However, after a vicious beating, which left her being in a coma for several weeks, she realised that the only way she was going to survive was to fight back and build up a reputation that made others afraid to attack her. So during the next assault she didn't hold back and ended up sending four of her attackers to the ICU in a nearby hospital due to the serious injuries that they suffered, along with sending several guards to the emergency room after they tried to break up the fight. Due to injuring the guards she was given an extra year in prison.Her grandfather who had been prevented from seeing or communicating with her for several months finally managed to find out what was happening to her, he put pressure on prison officials and she was placed in solitary confinement for the rest of her sentence.
Conviction Overturned
After serving three years, her conviction was officially overturned and she was ordered to be released from prison, as the judge that had sentenced her was convicted of corruption, thanks to an anonymous whistleblower.Upon her release, rumours in the national press started circulating that the Yakuza had set up the Judge, as it was claimed that the Yakuza by fabricating evidence framing the judge. This caused an official investigation to be ordered by the local Government, after a lengthy investigation was conducted, the allegations were officially deemed unsubstantiated since no evidence was found proving the involvement of the Yakuza and the case was closed.
A Surprising Inviation
Unbeknownst to the Public, the organisation behind the arrest of the Judge was actually the Japanese Public Security Intelligence Agency, which had been working on multiple cases to bring an end to the corruption plaguing the Japanese court system.There was also a secondary reason for bringing down the Judge, despite her connections to the criminal Yakuza organisation, Rose had the connections and instincts to bring down the corruption plaguing not only the Japanese court system but also the Japanese law enforcement agencies.A condition of her release was that she agreed to work from the shadows to aid the Public Security Intelligence Agency in bringing down and weeding out corruption through unconventional means. Such an unconventional approach would have drawn a lot of heat within the Japanese Government, however it was deemed that for the operation to succeed only the Japanese President, the Director-General, and the Deputy Director-General, along with the special PSIA team were aware of her role in the operation with it being reasoned that conventional means had proven to be ineffective and a new approach was necessary. So a special presidential order was put into effect, and her aiding the PSIA was a closely guarded secret.
Downfall
After helping bring down numerous corrupt officials over many years, and making numerous high-profile enemies in the process, Rose's identity was leaked to the public by a collaboration between China, North Korea and Russia, to discredit and smear the Japanese government's standing on the world stage and reduce the influence of the West's biggest ally in the region, by revealing that they were unbeknownst to even their own population in league with the criminal Japanese Yakuza.This led to the rival Yakuza clans turning on the Bushida clan and viciously wiping them out, in the turmoil Rose was kidnapped by the North Koreans and taken back to North Korea to stand trial, as some of the groups she had helped bring down as secretly working with the North Koreans along with the Chinese and Russians, which lead to the deaths of several influential North Korean, Chinese and Russian citizens and operatives.
Trial and Sentence
Rose stood on trial in North Korea which was just for show, she was offered a less severe sentence if she revealed who she was working for, however, she refused to play along and reveal her allies, and dishonour the reputation of her clan and country, in an effort to break her it was revealed to her that her clan had been wiped out and that she was the only survivor.However, this had the opposite effect and strengthened her will not to give them what they wanted. She adamantly denied the claims of working with the Japanese government and instead insisted that she and her clan had brought down the corrupt officials and groups that wanted to do her homeland harm out of pride and for the betterment of their homeland.She was found guilty of numerous counts of manslaughter and sentenced to life imprisonment in a North Korean maximum security prison used to imprison North Korean dissidents and people labelled as enemies of the country.They didn't sentence her to death as they knew that NATO and Japan would not be able to sit back and watch the death of a foreign national on their soil, as Rose was not only a Japanese citizen but also still a UK citizen, and one of the chosen heir to the Matthius International business, which was in the global top ten companies for medical technology and invention.
Disappearance
No records exist after her transfer to the North Korean maximum security prison. However unsubstantiated reports state that she was killed by guards when she was placed in solitary confinement in the maximum security wing in the bowels of the prison.
Reborn of a Curse
Reports of an assassin with believed supernatural powers and a cursed sword began circulating a few miles away from the prison. The locals believed it was a vengeful spirit who sought to punish the wicked and called the assassin Onryō, which literally translated as "vengeful spirit", sometimes rendered "wrathful spirit"), a mythological spirit of vengeance from Japanese folklore. From accounts of those who were fortunate enough to witness and live to tell the tale of the killings of Onryō, describe a woman matching Rosé's physical description, dressed all in black and carrying a katana and bow, both surrounded by dark energy.Numerous guards from the Maximum Security prison where Rosé was imprisoned and killed, were found brutally butchered and killed, with reports saying it was like a wild animal went berserk and slaughtered its prey leaving nothing behind that could be identified as human other than then their prison identity papers. The prison was eventually closed down as there weren't enough guards to run the prison and replacement guards refused to work at the prison fearing they would become the next victim of Onryō.
Retribution for the Fallen
The next sighting of the being known as Onryō was in Toyoko when numerous members of various Yakuza clans were found butchered and slaughtered, the only thing linking them other than being part of the Yakuza was that the unofficial report into the annihilation of the Bushida clan listed them as the ones that lead to attacks and subsequential killing of Bushida clan members.The link to the annihilation of the Bushida clan was further cemented when the severed heads of the leaders and influential members of the Yakuza clans believed to be the driving force behind the annihilation were found placed outside the tomb of the Bushida clan members, with a note stuffed down their throat, written in the victim's blood confessing their crimes against the Bushida clan along with a line written in Japanese that stated: "Retribution was delivered and the fallen can rest in peace."

Rosé's Reawakening
Rose has innate and unknown Psionic Powers passed down by her mother. The only one who knew about it was her Grandfather, who had helped her mother and his daughter, cope and hide her power, as if anyone found out about it, Rose's mother would be called a yōkai or mountain witch, and be hunted down and killed for it. Her grandfather Kazuto and Rose's father Carson had developed a special medical implant that combined Carson's medical technology genius with Kazuto's ancestral knowledge of Rose's power, to inhibited Rose from accessing her innate powers.When Rose was on the verge of dying her suppressed powers exploded from her having been triggered by her death and the destruction of the medical implant, this caused her body to absorb several stray Cosmic Radiation waves hitting Earth, and the rays also contained Hawking radiation produced by numerous micro black holes that was caught in the Cosmic Radiation waves and amped up her innate Psionic Powers and mutating them with null energy from the black holes.

Psychic Energy Manipulation:Rose can project energy blasts, streams, waves and bolts of her own psionic and telekinetic energy, allowing her to strike, push, pull or blow away her targets, potentially exerting enough force to destroy them. This energy manifests in any shape or form, outlining her telekinetic spheres of influence, as the energy is visible in a smokish dark grey colour. When her energy hits a target, she can use her telekinesis to inflict further damage. Significant emotional turmoil can amplify Rose's power and cause her to lose control over it.Telekinesis:Rose can move, levitate and otherwise manipulate certain objects remotely using her psionic energy without the need for her energy to be projected from her hands. Rose uses this energy to affect and control molecules and particles, allowing her to control matter and energy.(Rose combines her Telekinesis and Psychic Energy Manipulation to an effective degree when using weapons, especially with her preferred weapons which are her sword and her bow, in the case of the bow she uses energy as the arrows and then controls them with her other powers, to an accurate and lethal degree.)Force-Field GenerationRose has learned the ability to create highly durable barriers of void energy that she can shape and manipulate to protect herself. She can use it to grab and break apart targets, protect herself from enemy fire, contain a target or cover and deflect attacks from enemies.DisintegrationRose can use her energy in such an acute telekinetic way that she can completely disintegrate objects leaving behind nothing but a dark grey cloud of smoke.TeleportationRose can use her energy to disappear from one location in a dark grey cloud of smoke and reappear in a different location, however, the distance she can travel relies solely on her energy levels and takes quite a lot of energy the further away she wishes to reappear.Mental / Illusion ManipulationRose can use her powers to affect her target's mind and have them see whatever she wishes, like appearing to disappear in a cloud of grey smoke, appearing as a ghostly phantom, etc.(She can effectively combine her teleportation and Mental/Illusion manipulation abilities to distract her opponent and then appear in the prime location for a precision strike.)Healing/RecoveryShe can use her energy to heal herself and recover from near-fatal wounds, and the only way to kill her is to drain her body completely of all her energy.

The near death experience and being hit with cosmic radiation waves some how unlocked a complex ancestral understanding of magic and energy to Rose from her ancestors all who had similar abilities to Rose and her mother, this granted Rose the ability to innately understand the various forms of magic and energy, and if she hadn't encountered a form of energy or magic, she was able to figure out the new energy or magic, by comparing it to the magic and energy that she already knew, this granted Rose the ability to be able to nullify most magic, as one of the weaknesses Rose has is that to nullify magic and energy she had to have a complex understanding of how the magic and energy worked.
